A Portugal Adventure Designed for the Whole Family
When the Davis family contacted Classic Portugal, they were looking for a destination that would appeal equally to parents and energetic ten-year-old twin boys. They wanted culture and history,but also beaches, outdoor activities, and enough flexibility to enjoy family time together. Most importantly, they wanted everything organised before they arrived so they could simply enjoy the experience. We designed a bespoke seven-night journey combining the vibrant city of Lisbon with the stunning coastline of the Algarve.
Four Nights in Lisbon
The family's Portuguese adventure began in Lisbon, where they were welcomed at the airport by a private driver and transferred directly to their hotel. Over the following days, they explored historic neighbourhoods, such as Belem & Alfama, sampled fresh pastéis de nata, and discovered Portugal's Age of Discovery through engaging family-friendly tours.
One of the highlights was a private excursion to Sintra, where the boys explored the colourful towers, secret tunnels, and gardens of the fairy-tale palaces. The family also enjoyed a sunset sailing cruise on the Tagus River.
Three Nights in the Algarve
After Lisbon, the family travelled south to Lagos in the Algarve. Their seaside resort provided the perfect base for relaxation and adventure. A family boat excursion to the famous Benagil Caves became one of the highlights of the trip, with sea caves, hidden beaches, and crystal-clear waters, delighting the boys and their parents alike.
